swimming

There is something really healing about water.  Sometimes after a hard day at work, I will go to the indoor swimming pool at the community fitness center and swim laps.  That is what I did today.  I had a lot of anxiety that I couldn’t quite pl;ace.  After writing down everything I am worried about and telling myself I don’t have to deal with it now, I went for a swim.  It was relaxing.  It seems when I am in the water swimming, I do a lot of praying.

There have been a lot of concerns on my mind to pray about, such as; my 13 year old son being bullied at school, financial stress, wondering where I stand with certain friends and the fact that I agreed to work a shift at the group home on Sunday which I really don’t want to do.

But in the water, everything was fine.  There was no stress, just the relaxing water as I swam back and forth, prayed and meditated.  It ended all too soon.
